Telling the magazine that he was asked why he did not give "credit" to God, Attenborough added: "They always mean beautiful things like hummingbirds. I always reply by saying that I think of a little child in east Africa with a worm burrowing through his eyeball. The worm cannot live in any other way, except by burrowing through eyeballs. I find that hard to reconcile with the notion of a divine and benevolent creator."

Hypocritical Christians.
Even most mainstream denominations have officially come out and admitted that evolution has happened and best explains life on our planet. Only the most brainwashed and indoctrinated, close-minded people can possibly deny the facts of evolution in this 21st century world. Attenborough's response is perfect. How can one reconcile scientific reality with religious myth and hogwash? Darwin was a keen observer and theorist and his theory is PROVEN beyond a shadow of a doubt. The only reason it is still called a theory is because it can't be proven in the same way a mathematical theorem can. That is a problem with semantics, NOT the science!
