The Singularity as a Technological Rapture?

I believe that the meek robots will someday inheret the Earth and that only the smartest humans will be able to adapt fast enough to survive in such a rapidly improving technological utopia. Take that dose of reality, religion! Either that, or robots will develop compassion on us organic beings and end global poverty, take us to the outer planets and to the farthest reaches of the universe, assuming that mind, genome, and technology merge as a perfect storm of constructive superposition.
